Haruaki is the top disciple of Makoto Yanagi and currently serves as the head priest of the Kasen Shrine in Minoshima. With exceptional skills in manipulating spiritual connections, he, along with his disciples Chatarou Fukawake and Yako Amano, resolves incidents involving spiritual beings when requested. He treats everyone kindly and gently, like a good-natured old man, but Aka Ibuki, his fellow disciple, is an exception. He quietly and occasionally reveals a fit of cold anger.
